In the case of universities, UGC at its meeting held on July 29, 1997 stated that "...the payment of assessment and accreditation cost to NAAC, upto a maximum of Rs.5.00 lakhs in the case of large universities, may be accepted as admissible item for plan grant of the respective universities by the commission. The grant for this purpose may be released to concerned university." |
